J Hus and Alt-J are among the acts enjoying a healthy sales boost after being shortlisted for the prestigious award.

While tonight (Sept 14) will see this year’s Hyundai Mercury Prize winner announced at a ceremony at London’s Eventim Apollo, analysis of data suggests several acts have already seen a significant boost in sales after last month’s shortlist reveal.

It’s been six weeks since this year’s 12 shortlisted records were announced and it’s as varied and eclectic as ever; ranging from Blossoms’ self-titled indie-rock collection, to Stormzy’s debut Gang Signs & Prayer, to the electric-jazz of Together, As One by Dinosaur.
