"Kanser formed years ago at Matthews Park in South Minneapolis. Consisting of emcees New, Unicus, Mesh and their DJ Elusive, the group has been an integral part of the Twin Cities hip-hop scene since. Kanser released two underground tapes before their debut CD Innercity Outerspace. Collaborations on those cassettes and Kanser organized shows largely brought together the artists that would become the Interlock collective".
